ADFC Scholarship Program

Scholarship Outline

The ADFC Student Scholarship is designed to support and encourage the next generation of agricultural leaders. By offering financial assistance to children and grandchildren of ADFC suppliers.

Each year, ADFC will offer up to $30,000 in scholarships, with individual recipients awarded
between $2,000 and $5,000, based on merit and need.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the ADFC Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be an Australian citizen.
  • Be a child or grandchild of a current ADFC shareholder/supplier.
  • Intend to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course at an Australian university in 2025 or full time TAFE course, preferably with a focus on agriculture or a related field.
  • Submit a scholarship application before the closing date. (January 24, 2025)

Selection Criteria

All applications will be reviewed individually, and applicants will be treated with the utmost
confidentiality. Selection will be based on:

  • A demonstrated commitment to academic excellence.
  • A clear passion for agriculture and a desire to support and contribute to rural communities.
  • The scholarship is open only to first-time tertiary students.

Scholarship Payments

  • Successful applicants must agree to have their name and image used in ADFC promotional material, including social media, as part of the scholarship program.
  • If a recipient withdraws from or fails to complete their degree, they may be required to repay all or part of the scholarship funds, at ADFC’s discretion, unless exceptional circumstances apply.
